Eight years ago, we began with nothing but a dream, a dream that stories born from Africa could not just travel, but light up the world. What started as a spark in a small room in Lekki has become a global recognized brand working with studios across the world.
Today, we celebrate not just a company’s anniversary, but our ecosystem, the Magic Carpet Ecosystem. An ecosystem of creators, dreamers, animators, artists, storytellers, and visionaries who believe that the age of global African storytelling has come.
This year, we reached milestones that once felt impossible.
We secured complete funding for our first-ever feature film The Passport of Mallam Ilia, after 5 years of straddling it on with many challenges and many low moments. We remain commitment to deliver this in 2026 and at the finest quality of 2d animation humanly possible. This film is a shared ambition across the continent and we appreciate all the love and support and those rooting for us to redefine what African storytelling looks and feels like on the world stage.
Also, this year we will be launching our first animated series, Meet The Igwes, born from our soil, voiced in our languages, carrying our humor, our rhythm, and our heart. We didn’t just produce content; we built culture.
This year also we ventured into one of the most exciting spaces, expanding our services into VFX and CGI, as the partner studio of Dambe project lead by Ramsey Nouah, Chris Odeh and Joy Odiete.
Our production pipeline has evolved, our process upgraded, and our storytelling sharpened. And through our DreamWeaver Creator Incubator, we will raise 100 lived-in creators, giving them not just tools but a community to dream, to build, and to belong
our goal in the next decade is to position as a creative-technology powerhouse.
And through every obstacle, every experiment, every late night, we’ve proven something sacred: That when creativity meets conviction, the impossible bends.
To our partners and investors who believed in the dream before it was popular, thank you for trusting the vision, for seeing beyond what was and standing with what could be.
To our incredible team, past and present, thank you.
You are the soul of this journey.
From the animators and directors, to producers, writers, designers, and dreamers, you’ve built more than a company; you’ve built a culture. And to our community of fans, students, and creators, you are the magic that keeps the carpet flying.
